Face recognition (FR) or human detection in large crowd gatherings is always an interest to avoid any mishap and identify any suspect in case of any wrongdoings. In such large gatherings which we normally see in festivals or any global gaming events, capturing the activity or identifying a person using a traditional surveillance camera is challenging; hence, drone-based data acquisition comes into the picture. The workshop aims to enhance face recognition literature in such challenging drone images which suffer from low quality, motion blur, and environmental turbulence. We assert that such advancement will not only attract the biometrics community but also the researchers who are also exploring different techniques for object detection in drone images.
